A bit off-topic but….

Following a period of despair, I had something of a revelation over a ten minute period whilst resting last night.

We choose to accept, and sometimes embrace our negative thoughts and concepts. Whilst this may be something we subconsciously view as a defence mechanism, the only thing it’s protecting us from is happiness. We can just as easily choose to reject the negative.

Fighting personal injustice, wrongful accusations and the false perceptions of others is futile. They have already chosen to accept what they believe as the truth.

We can often try to make ourselves feel better by thinking “well, what’s the worst that could happen?”, but that in itself is filling your mind with negatives. I realise now that by instead thinking “what are the best things that are going to happen?”, I can instantly improve my outlook.

I’m sorry if it seems simplistic, but like a child with a new toy, I wanted to show it off, heheh.
